Bell Let’s Talk Day For Mental Health Initiatives on January 29th – Wear Blue and White!

This year, Bell Let’s Talk Day is Wednesday, January 29th.

On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell Canada will donate towards mental health initiatives in Canada by contributing 5¢ for every text, call, tweet, and all social media posts using the hashtag:  #bellletstalk

You can help end the stigma around mental illness.  It’s easier than you think!

It’s a fact: One in five Canadians will suffer from mental illness at some point in their lifetime. One of the biggest hurdles for anyone suffering from mental illness is overcoming the negativity associated with mental illness. It is the number one reason why two-thirds of those living with a mental illness do not seek help.

On Wednesday, January 29, POP will show support by wearing Blue and White to help end the stigma around mental illness.

Throughout the week, our school community will be hearing messages of how we can help our friends and families who have difficulty with things such as anxiety and depression.

We will also have a donation container in the front foyer, “Change the Conversation”, where donations can be made to Kid’s Help Phone.

Our school would like to thank Mme. Boccia for organizing this for us!
